Interesting facts

This morning's newspaper stated that 49 of the 50 states have snow. Satellite images show that 2/3 of the country is white! There are going to be some massive floods come Spring!

The US has more redheads than any other country in the world--estimated to be between 3 to 6% of the population. Worldwide, redheads account for only about 1 to 2% of the population and of those, only 25% have green eyes.

There were lots of redheaded kids in my class in school back in the 50's. We don't see many so redheads anymore. Is it because the gene for that color is recessive or what? Is it time to start worrying about redheads going extinct?

Well, that's enough stuff to worry about today. Tune in tomorrow.

Y'know...I colored my hair today, with a temp color. The box said "spiced truffle". I thought it meant a nice, warm chocolate brown....nope, you can add one more redhead to the count! Twenty-eight washings to go~ oh my!♥

Odd about the redheads. I have not seen a red headed person in many years. I assume they are around but not when I am. ♥

Hard to tell from my sun-bleached photo, but I'm a redhead. And I like that. (More snow this afternoon, about five inches. At this point, we're just resigned.)

We've seen some wonderful pictures in the news over here of your snow. Most of Europe has had it's troubles with snow and it would appear that we have all had hard winters.

I saw a show over here about redheads and it explained that you had the most in the world. This they said was because of the migration of peoples from Europe to America from the 1600's up until the 1900's.
The potato famines of Ireland and the clearing of the highlands in Scotland.

I have some redhead friends. I am only a redhead, when like Corgidogmama, I decide to be one. Right now I'm sticking to my brown tone.

49 out of 50 states! Wow, that's something to think about. I had no idea.

Hope you have a great week.

I have read that redheads are endangered. I thank the parents of red-headed children for keeping the gene alive.
