I often start to write a post and then lose heart. I feel like it's too trivial or edgy or just plain stupid.
Like yesterday, when I posted about the Iceman. I debated whether to delete it or not. I tell myself that just because something is really interesting to me, it's not necessarily interesting to others. As a result, it's really gratifying when others comment, and I appreciate the fact that nobody ever says, "Gee, you are weird!"
I attribute this lack of creativity and confidence to the fact that I don't have a really reliable Muse. Here is the only picture I have of her. (She's a muppet!)
What does your Muse look like?

Well, I think that's a Great muse to have. Why not? You can blog about anything if it interests you. It's Your "web log." Almost always someone else will also find it interesting. I, too, sometimes question why anyone would want to read my thoughts on any topic, but, somehow... What matters is that you're doing it for You, first and foremost. The rest will follow, no pun intended.:)
Thanks, Teresa. I must say that you have the most splendid of Muses, plus lots of writing talent. I always find relevance in your postings.
I agree with Teresa...I think it's a great muse, too. I don't have one...maybe that's my problem! I can't tell you how many times I've started a post only to delete it.
So I'm going to look for a muse. Will let you know how it turns out!
That little gal, er, muse, is just stuffed with inspiration. Give her a little more credit for some pretty interesting topics. If she gets too unreliable, have her stand in a corner.
If I had to select a muse, it would have to be my mom ! I always come to the right place then !
Yes it is your web log and you can write whatever you want and as Teresa says someone will like the post since there are literally hundreds of folks reading the blogs these days. My muse, gee I need one, your's looks quite the chipper one to me, happy indeed.
Cheryl--I'm glad I'm not the only one who "wimps-out" of posting.
Joanne--I like the perspective you suggested of taking control of my Muse! Great idea!
Daughter chic--Awwww!
Linda--I'm not sure if I need a muse but it's fun to speculate.
Hmm, never thought about that! Now I'll have to find a muse. Yours is pretty cute!
