Coexistance

Tuesday evening I went to a meeting. When I was driving home on I-94 afterwards, I was nearly sideswiped by a car in the next lane. It had a bumper sticker:

Sorry about the near catastrophe. The bumper sticker makes you wonder if it came with the car and was not placed by the driver.

I think in the case of that car, it was more a warning than an affirmation. "Coexist, because I'm gonna drive like a nut and get into your lane!!!"

Sheesh! These drivers! Probably driving too fast, too!!!

I love that bumper sticker...I took a photo of a huge coexist banner at an art fair last summer at St. Cloud State. It's not just artistic...it's a great message. If only we could...

Love the bumper sticker, but not the driver. That is so frightening when that happens.

I thought that the coexist bumper stickers pertained to the gay population....must be cuckoo drivers as well!!
Glad you weren't harmed in any way!

Crazy drivers make me crazy. I wish people would get off the phone, stop texting, putting on make-up, eating, singing, drinking coffee or whatever and JUST DRIVE!

Glad you were safe.

cheers,

I don't know why people can't manipulate 2.5 tons of steel down the road without killing something. I think some folks consider their cars and pickup trucks like an extension of that much used finger.

Which reminds me of the research that showed drivers with any type of bumper sticker (no matter how nonviolent) were more likely to be aggressive drivers. Not that this person was necessarily aggressive.... but for sure inattentive!

Well we are all really glad that you are ok.

I think safe driving needs to be a big part of coexistence. Glad you were all right.

Now every time I see one of those bumper stickers, I think of you and wonder if that car is the one.
