Here we are on the Titanic

This is me (spoiling the picture) with my friend, my grandson and my daughter. The exhibit was much more impressive than I imagined, with reproductions of the staterooms and steerage compartments. It also created the mood of the night the ship went down. I would recommend it to anyone.

The picture was taken at the beginning of the exhibit and at the exit you could purchase a copy of your group in front of the grand staircase on the Titanic or in front of the ship.

This is the one my daughter chose to buy. I never would have bought a picture with me looking so awful!

There is a term, and I'm sure with your writing interest you've come across it -- "body dymorphia," meaning, that for no good reason a person perceives of their own appearance in a very negative way! M'dear, you have this disorder! You pick apart your appearance, and you look perfectly fine to everyone else! The cure: Two-fold. (1) Look at a picture of someone else, an acclaimed beauty, then concentrate on believing that person is actually YOU. You will find yourself picking apart their appearance, thinking they look odd or funny or strange or dreadful! (2) Look at yourself dispassionately, and as if you are NOT you -- suddenly your looks seem quite acceptable! Now, what does this tell you?! That it's a perception problem, not a reflection of reality!!!

I like your looks and that's a nice picture of you all! And I am a Titanic fanatic from way, way back, so I envy you that trip to the exhibit!

Oh dear, of course I misspell something vital: body dysmorphia!!!

You are too kind, dear Penniwig. As I shrink, I expand ever outward. As I age, I get ever paler as we Norwegian women always do. One day, I may be just a big white ball on the floor! lol

Your family genes are strong, you look so much like your grandson and daughter. Was this display the one in Branson, or in MN? Lovely wood in that pic.

Corgi Dog Mama, This exhibit is at the Science Museum in St Paul MN. I never would have gone if my daughter hadn't bought tickets for me, but I'm really glad I did.

We had an amazing time. My mom took care of us and gave us a lot as kids, so ANYTIME I can spoil her, you better believe I do it. I do love spoiling my mom !! She was and is amazing.
