An offbeat salute to Mother's Day

I clipped this cartoon from the newspaper many years ago because it made me laugh. Dick Guindon's cartoons appeared regularly in the Minneapolis Star Tribune until he retired in 2005. I still miss them.

My poor mother actually birthed me on mothers day , and it wasn't any easy birth so I'm told. I really have to remember to make her feel special ...sometimes my birthday and Mothers day do fall on the same day ... and we manage to share the specialness . The cartoon is priceless ;) lol

I LOVE it! If I had a crown I'd wear it all day long... but I doubt if Bill would even notice ;-)

Funny. Though my spouse waits patiently for our son to call from far away. Then I try to come up with a fun surprise for the evening...:)
