  1. Creamed dried beef on toast--straight out of my childhood. Only mom called it chipped beef. I have a friend who still makes it for lunch sometimes when I'm visiting.

  3. Oh my mom used to make creamed tuna on toast and I had forgotten all about it, how wonderful to learn about these unique recipes.

  4. What fun! Talk about a flash from the past! WE made all of those things. We didn't make the beans on toast like that but we did put beans on toast. I still do...love it.

  5. Creamed beef on toast is my hub's absolute favorite in the winter. I'd never heard of it until we married, asked around, and wow, it is delicious (but I have to watch calories much more than he does.) Thanks for the pork 'n beans recipe, will have to try this, YUM!

  6. I never realized we did not have boxed macaroni and chesse as kids. It does explain why it was such a treat when I moved out on my own tho.
