Prescriptions are free and I've just been fitted with a hearing aid- a neat little digital job -again no charge. I did pay into the NHS all my working life so suppose I am reaping the benefits nowBarbara Blundellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10737381770907901607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2037665037475387929.post-68176310675473687182010-10-29T20:04:17.668-05:002010-10-29T20:04:17.668-05:00What a bunch of phooey is for sure. The drug companies are in business to make money, not get people well. I think doctors still say to cut some pills in half, but I know some are best not split since there is no assurance that half the amount of medication is one half and half in the other, all might be in one half and no medication in the other half, guess it depends upon the type of med. I'm with the last two commenters, I think you need the full dose just in case your blood pressure should go up again.Linda Starrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04364078667554676592noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2037665037475387929.post-69723080240671928232010-10-28T14:01:18.396-05:002010-10-28T14:01:18.396-05:00Be sure to tell them the next time around that the...Be sure to tell them the next time around that the doctor has reinstated the original prescription's dosage.

Yikes.

PearlPearlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05261369905176088917noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2037665037475387929.post-90356592254509294972010-10-27T22:53:40.969-05:002010-10-27T22:53:40.969-05:00I think some doctors will still prescribe the high...I think some doctors will still prescribe the higher dose, knowing you will save money by splitting the pill.
